Creating a New Future

• What is it that determines our futures?
• Why is it that some affirmations or visualizations work and some don’t?
• What determines if someone will have a spontaneous healing?

Excerpt:
The next moment will be determined by a close match to the present experience. If the visualization or imagining you are doing is profound enough to affect your entire energy imprint (a fully embodied, with every fiber of my being experience), the experiences that become your future will be a close match to that purposely created now.

This is why affirmations have a potential to work well. If they help us go into a state where our now moment is more to our liking, then our future moments will also be more to our liking.

If they don’t give us a with every fiber of my being experience but instead give us a partial experience that is closer to what we want, then our future moments will reflect just that. We will be closer to what we would like but not actually there yet.

LINEAR TIME
Like beads on a string, our lives move from one now-moment to the next, each a frame in the ongoing movie reel that is our experienced life here on planet earth. The only reality is now, now, now, but we carry memories of our past perceptions – how we perceived the experiences of before – and we also have some imaginings of what may be our future.

THERE IS ONLY ALL-TIME/NO-TIME
Mystics and quantum physicists tell us that linear time is an illusion, there is no time, it is only a now that might be described as all time. However, that is not our experience. What we experience is moment-by-moment life, one experience following the next, happening in a linear way that we call time.

We also know there are those pivotal events that change our lives forever, the “nothing was ever the same after that” events. What is it that makes our lives take a hard left or right onto a different path from what we were on before? And what about amazing instantaneous healings?

Here is a metaphorical way of understanding it.

A POINT OF CONSCIOUSNESS
We each are a point of consciousness in a vast sea of possible experiences.

LIKE ATTRACTS LIKE
In this vast sea of differing vibrational possibilities, the vibrations that are similar or alike form clusters, they move in closer to each other.

If each moment in your life was a frame on a movie reel, the next frame would be ALMOST exactly the same. So in this vast sea of possibilities, the next frame in your life is the one which is closest to the one you just experienced. It is an almost perfect match but not quite.

So this moment to moment now that we are experiencing as a linear-time life is a stepping from one now to an almost perfect match of a now, to the next almost perfect match, and so on. It makes for a smooth experience of a life that is basically the same from moment to moment, but slowly morphs into a progression of experiences that becomes our day-to-day life.

CHANGING OUR LIVES, CREATING A WRINKLE OR GLITCH
But maybe we aren’t pleased about the progression our lives are taking. Maybe we want a different set of experiences.

We have the power to create different now experiences through using our will and creative abilities. We can create a wrinkle or glitch in the pattern of nows we were previously experiencing. When we strongly imagine something to the extent that for that now moment we are having a DIFFERENT experience, we are then forming a new cluster of possibilities around that now moment.

LIVING IN FAITH
Religions encourage people to have faith. Having faith in something enables the experience of that (whatever it is the person has faith in) to more fully permeate a person’s now experience. Faith says “Yes, this is real. Yes, I accept this as real in my world.” That helps create a with every fiber of my being experience. Without that acceptance, the concept will be a partial one, as described above.

Living in faith is a state where one embodies a certain way of not just believing but also being, and maintaining that from moment to moment. If we live in full faith that “everything in the world is actually an expression of love,” then the experiences that most closely match that, and therefore are closest to us in our sea of possibility metaphor, become our next experienced now. That creates a future of nows that are full of the world expressed as love (at least in the way that we perceive it).

“I have faith in a loving God.” USING IMAGES/FORMS.
The mind functions with images, anything that has form. It cannot grasp that which is formless. Therefore we name whatever is in our world, even if that name is only “thing.” Anything which is named has been accepted by us as existing in our world (the first thing that Adam did in the Garden of Eden was to name everything). If we give God a name and form, and ascribe to that form the quality of being loving, that can now be incorporated into what our minds perceive.

An image/form also enables us to maintain focus. Focusing on a loving God image or concept can allow you to go into a state of embodying a relationship to whatever you imagine that God to be. You can sustain an experience of feeling it, seeing it, knowing it, being one with it…  The important thing to create the life you desire is to embody the state you want to live in. So if having faith in a form enables you to do that you can use that to great advantage, and you will be participating in a lineage of people who have done this throughout the ages.

NOT HAVING FAITH
If we have the idea that “everything in the world is actually an expression of love,” or “There is a loving God,” but do not have a sustained faith in that, our vibratory state will not be the same as a person who does have that faith. Our future moments will therefore not match that concept to the extent that theirs will.

So what if we just don’t have the personality to very easily have faith in… whatever?

AFFIRMATIONS and VISUALIZATIONS
We can use affirmations and visualizations even if we are not a person who easily steps into a state of faith. Both of these are tools that help us affect our own vibratory states in the sea-of-possibility so that the possibilities that cluster around us (the potential future now moments) are more to our liking.

Instead of using the ready-made formulas of the world’s religions, affirmations and visualizations are personal to each individual, and are tailored by a person’s own imagination, way of speaking and thinking, and the images that are most potent for them.

HYPNOSIS
One of the difficulties in using affirmations and visualizations is that the words or images can remain in the conscious mind only, while the subconscious is not buying into it at all. That can put it into the wishful-thinking camp instead of a with every fiber of my being experience.

One way to solve this is to have a hypnotist help you get your subconscious on board with whatever changes you are wanting to create in your life. Whether it is being a non-smoker, a more affluent individual, or a happily married person, a hypnotist can help get the subconscious mind lined up with your desired result.

MEDITATION and SELF-HYPNOSIS
There many different forms of meditation and self-hypnosis. However, most involve clearing the mind of mental chatter. This enables you to penetrate to a more profound state where the impact of your desired thought forms can have a more potent effect on the subconscious.

REPETITION and RITUALS
Subconscious belief patterns can also be altered by regular repetitions of a different belief. If we hear or say the same things over and over, they eventually imprint and are accepted by the subconscious mind. This is why constantly repeating affirmations or prayers can have a positive effect.

If these prayer times are done at regular intervals, the effect becomes even more potent. Think of a Muslim who repeats his prayers five times a day at certain times and in a prescribed ritualistic manner. His subconscious will be deeply imprinted and reinforced in a way that is much more profound than someone who only attends a religious service once a week.

Ritual increases the effect of repetition. The subconscious has a different language than the linear mind. Symbols, ritual, body gestures and positions, and powerful emotions that have an impact on you at a deep level will have a stronger effect on this subconscious aspect of yourself.

The goal is to be in the with every fiber of my being state. Getting as close as you can to that will determine the success of your outcome.

SPONTANEOUS and RAPID HEALINGS, BIG CHANGES
Recap: Using the metaphor that future experiences are formed through the like-attracts-like formation of clusters around a person’s now experience in the sea-of-possibility, one can see the potential for radical changes if one engages their will to change their now, their present state of being. Once we have shifted into that new state, the question is only how profoundly we have embodied that. Was every part of my now-state being embodied in that? If it is a with every fiber of my being state, the new futures match that in a complete way.

If the new state is partially what it is we want our lives to be, the changes that occur will also be partial. One then needs to repeatedly shift into the desired state in order to affect a complete outcome.

Since so many of our personality traits, beliefs, assumptions, etc, are deeply embedded within us, this gradual shifting from one state to another will, of course, be much more common than the huge change of a spontaneous healing.

You can probably remember, however, times when you did make a choice  based on a total-self feeling. All of you said  “Yes, do it. Do it now.” And from that point on your life moved in a certain direction. You were naturally using the concept described here.

KEEP THE FAITH, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, PERSIST!
It is important to note that if we are attempting to make a change and not seeing results to the extent that we would like, to remember that this is quite normal and that we need to persist. For it is through the repetition of creating those states we desire that our desired futures will emerge.

SUMMARY

  1. Embody the state that you desire — use your imagination, visualization, whatever works for you, to slide yourself into being it in the present moment.
  2. If you can have faith in it, great. If that’s not so easy, use repetition. The more you reinforce it with repetition, the more likely your subconscious will begin to accept it and not delete what you are attempting to bring about.
  3. Doing those repetitions at regular times and creating rituals can make it more potent. It will be more quickly and easily accepted by the subconscious that way. Religions and shamans have been using rituals and repetition for thousands of years. Why? Because it works!
  4. Remember that we are vast beings with a lot of different aspects. If you don’t hit the with every fiber of my being state right away, just keep at it. Persist! Chances are it is most likely to change bit by bit, BUT the potential for a huge shift or healing is here now in every moment.

Godspeed to you all!
